Digitalization allows the domestic engineering industry to successfully withstand the challenges of the international market – to ensure independence in the development, production and operation of high-tech products, reduce operational and other costs, and increase overall productivity. The need to implement technological transformation projects in the era of digitalization responds not only to government requests, but also to requests from organizations in general. High-quality technological transformations will allow the organization to achieve the desired results faster. The authors noted that the introduction of various types of digital technologies has a contradictory effect on the results of the organization's activities. The results of the study also consist in the fact that the authors noted that the reduction of some professions in the context of digitalization contributes to the emergence of others. In turn, the digitalization of the company qualitatively changes the process of interaction between the organization's team, partners, and consumers. The availability of information and automation ensure ease of control at every level of the organization, and reduce production and marketing time. Flexibility in decision-making is created due to the effectiveness of analysis. The authors of the article reviewed the theoretical and methodological foundations of the project implementation of technological digitalization in the engineering industry. In the final part of the article, conclusions are formulated demonstrating that companies implementing digital solutions have the opportunity to create fundamentally new products and services that meet modern market requirements. Technological digitalization projects are designed to make a good contribution to the development of the machine-building industry and industry in general.
