In the period from 2020 to 2024, the tourism industry in the Kamchatka Territory has shown steady growth, thanks to the implementation of national and federal projects and regional programs. This article reflects the dynamics of tourist flow and provides an overview of the segmentation of tourism activities. It also analyzes the effectiveness of the allocated budget funds and the alignment of the results with the initial objectives. At the end of the study, a hypothesis is put forward to explain the failure to meet the set objectives, as it is necessary to take into account that progress is not always linear when planning or continuing the implementation of a project, and to include the possibility of a worsening economic situation in the calculations. In addition, the study highlights the difficulty of conducting monitoring due to the lack of a unified information database on the region's tourism activities.
