The article analyzes the current state of the technical and technological base of agricultural firms in the Krasnodar Territory. Based on statistical data from such indicators as: the availability of farms with a fleet of machinery, the level of energy availability of labor, the availability of energy capacities, as well as the amount of mineral fertilizers applied to crops in the Krasnodar Territory, the need to modernize the technical and technological base of crop production, taking into account the influence of external factors, is confirmed. The relationship between the level of development of the technical and technological base and the efficiency of crop production is substantiated using multifactorial correlation and regression analysis. The collected data on thirty farms established that investments in fixed assets, availability of all types of machinery, output and agricultural land area have the greatest correlation value. The key problems of modernization of the technical and technological base of the agricultural sector have been identified: a high level of equipment wear, insufficient availability of modern machines for tillage and harvesting, low rates of fleet renewal, poor availability of tractors and combines, low introduction of digital technologies. Strengthening state support for technical re-equipment, subsidizing the renewal of the machine and tractor fleet, the development of domestic production and the active application of digitalization in agricultural processes are proposed as areas for improving the efficiency of crop production.
