Agent-based modeling of the digital economy and sustainable development
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The digital economy, which is characterized by the availability of data on transactions between economic agents, creates new opportunities for achieving sustainable development goals. Traditional models based on the analysis of aggregated data are often inadequate for analyzing the nonlinear, stochastic, heterogeneous and rapidly evolving digital economy. This article is the first step in describing a methodology for constructing agent-based models based on transaction data to address the fundamental problem of model validation. Transaction data in the digital economy is used to identify the internal parameters of model agents. Priority is given to collecting transaction data from blockchain economies, although other data sources are also described. The agent-based model built on such data is used to synthesize control actions for sustainable development goals.
