The article reveals the specifics of the interstate economic cooperation between the EAEU and China in the context of sanctions restrictions and the trade war of Western countries. Methodological approaches to the implementation of the Agreement on Trade and Economic Cooperation between the Eurasian Economic Union and China are determined. The mechanisms of increasing the effectiveness of partnership relations between the EAEU and China based on the formation of a Concept for the phased expansion of interregional cooperation between China and the EAEU, taking into account the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road" and the Russian initiative of the Greater Eurasian Partnership, are considered. The main provisions of the Concept of the phased expansion of interregional cooperation between China and the EAEU are substantiated. The scientific novelty of the study is to assess the prospects for the implementation of the Chinese initiative "One Belt, One Road" and the Russian initiative of the Greater Eurasian Partnership in the new realities
