The article discusses the theoretical and practical aspects of conducting a comprehensive management analysis of transport industry enterprises in modern economic conditions. It emphasizes the importance of assessing the efficiency of using basic production, material, labor, and financial resources, as well as presents methods such as vertical, horizontal, and factor analysis to identify internal reserves for improving transport organizations' performance. The article also provides main indicators that characterize the state of the Russian transport sector, including key areas such as cost structure assessment, fixed assets condition and use, labor potential, and financial stability. These areas are essential for understanding the overall performance of a transport enterprise and its contribution to the national economy. A comparison of profitability, costs, and return on investment is presented to identify factors that determine the competitiveness of transportation industry enterprises. Based on the research, practical recommendations are provided for improving management efficiency, optimizing resource allocation, enhancing organizational and technical processes, and increasing the long-term viability of transportation companies. The findings can be applied in the operations of transportation organizations for developing management strategies, as well as in educational settings for training professionals in transportation economics.
