The article presents a comprehensive analysis of the current state of financial literacy in the Republic of Iraq. Based on statistical data and public opinion polls, key problems were identified: a low level of personal finance management, insufficient awareness of banking products, and high risks of using informal financial institutions. The conducted analysis allows us to state that the current state of financial literacy of the Iraqi population remains at a critically low level, which is the result of a complex interweaving of historical, economic and social factors.Investing in improving financial literacy is not just a social program, it is a strategic necessity for building a sustainable, inclusive and diversified economy in Iraq in the post-conflict period. The author concludes that it is necessary to develop and implement targeted government programs aimed at systematically improving financial literacy as a factor of the country's economic stability.
