In the context of globalization and the rapid development of digital technologies, the modern aviation industry is undergoing significant transformations, requiring airports to adapt their organizational and economic management mechanisms. This study aims to analyze the features and key areas of this transformation in Russian airports under the influence of digitalization and innovation. It examines the theoretical foundations of the transformation, the impact of digital technologies (big data, artificial intelligence, and the Internet of Things) on operational processes, customer experience, revenue sources, and security. Special attention is given to the changing business models, the development of a customer-centric approach, and the importance of cybersecurity. The challenges related to infrastructure modernization, investment shortages, human resources, and the need to improve the regulatory framework have been addressed. The strategic importance of switching to domestic software for ensuring technological sovereignty is emphasized. In conclusion, the main conclusions are formulated and practical recommendations are proposed aimed at developing an industry-specific digital transformation strategy, promoting public-private partnerships, developing human resources, strengthening cybersecurity, creating customer-centric business models, and modernizing legislation.
