The article focuses on the issues of demonstrating the main directions in which the idea of corporate social responsibility is positioned, and pointing out the evolution that this idea has undergone in recent decades, as well as focusing on the relationship between innovative business development and corporate responsibility to society. It is concluded that corporate social responsibility in the context of an innovative breakthrough is a strategic tool for strengthening the company's position in the market, as well as changing the very concept of business as an institution of social development. Modern models of integrating corporate social responsibility into an enterprise's strategy are analyzed, taking into account global trends in sustainable development and digitalization. The impact of innovation activity on the effectiveness of CSR programs and the development of competitiveness of enterprises in the long term is also considered. It is pointed out that the successful combination of the innovative and social mission of business is the main factor in the adaptation of enterprises to modern realities and new expectations of society.
