Annotation: In an unstable external environment and high competition, strategic management methods that allow for quick and flexible response to changes in the macro and micro environment are particularly relevant. The article highlights the importance of problem-oriented analysis (POA) as a key tool for the functioning and development of a modern company. It explores its key advantages, implementation stages, and transformative role in corporate culture..The logical structure of the analysis stages is built, the requirements for its final and intermediate results are set, and the technology for achieving them is described: from the usual identified shortcomings in the management system to the most significant causes that generate them, related to the imperfections of the management system and process. The logical sequence of the problem-oriented analysis stages is presented using the example of import substitution.
