This study is dedicated to a comprehensive analysis of the economic consequences of staffing shortages in the healthcare system of the Russian Federation, with a focus on the most vulnerable segments — pediatric clinics and specialized medical care. The work details the scale and regional specifics of the problem, examines the mechanisms of the negative impact of personnel shortages on the financial sustainability of medical institutions, as well as on the quality and accessibility of services provided. The empirical part is based on the results of a theoretical survey of medical workers, which identified and systematized the key factors leading to systemic overload. In conclusion, a range of practical directions for solving the staffing crisis is proposed, including issues of financial incentives and workflow optimization, with a preliminary assessment of their potential economic efficiency and impact on the overall performance of the system.
