The article examines the dynamics of cargo transshipment and container turnover in Russian seaports in 2010–2024, as well as the financial risk profile in the container segment. Based on the data of JSC "Morsentr", it is shown that the total volume of transshipment increased by 68.5%, with an average geometric rate of about 3.8% per year, with an extended growth phase until 2019, a mild correction in 2020-2021, and the formation of an elevated plateau in 2022-2024. The key role of the foreign trade component in shaping the trajectory of the system and the limited buffer function of cabotage have been identified. The analysis of container transshipment (2010–2024) reveals two upward phases and two trend breaks, with a recovery to 5.59 million TEU in 2024. It is shown that containerization, based on the standardization of containers, mechanization, and digitalization of operations, creates sustainability of supply chains and increases the predictability of flows. In the structural context, financial risks are classified as price (freight and terminal tariff volatility), currency, interest, liquidity, credit, contract execution, operational-technological, and compliance risks.
