The article examines the impact of the labour organisation system on the productivity of key production staff in the energy industry. Using PJSC RusHydro as an example, an empirical analysis was conducted based on aggregated data for 2022–2024. The author developed an assessment methodology based on a system of interrelated indicators: specific headcount, output, capital-labour ratio, and energy-labour ratio. The analysis revealed a key contradiction: a significant increase in technical equipment (+24.8%) was accompanied by a decrease in staff efficiency (a 5.9% increase in specific headcount). Correlation and regression analysis showed a moderate direct relationship between these factors, allowing us to conclude that there was no stable positive relationship between technical re-equipment and labour organisation during the period under review. The results obtained indicate that the company was in a phase of adaptation, when the effect of capital investments had not yet manifested itself in the form of optimisation of labour processes.
