The impact of distribution of responsibilities on the motivation and productivity of members of project team in the it sphere
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
This article examines the impact of role allocation on the motivation and productivity of IT project team members. The IT industry is developing dynamically, and project success depends on effective human resource management. Role allocation stimulates employee contribution, especially in the context of startup growth and the implementation of Agile, overcoming traditional hierarchical approaches that dampen enthusiasm. The relevance of the topic of the impact of role allocation on the motivation and productivity of IT project team members is due to the need to develop effective strategies for managing personnel motivation in the IT sector. AI regulation includes the National Strategy until 2030, the Code of Ethics, experimental regimes, and the standards GOST R 59277-2020, GOST R 59898-2021, GOST R ISO/IEC 24668-2022, and PNST 776-2022. The theoretical framework encompasses motivation models: Maslow's hierarchy, McGregor's X/Y theory, Vroom's expectancy, Deci-Ryan's self-determination, Locke's goals, and Adams and Herzberg's exchange theory. Distribution is illustrated by the RACI matrix, which minimizes conflicts in Agile. Productivity is assessed through velocity, code quality (ISO/IEC 25010), and satisfaction (NPS). Research shows a 20-30% increase in efficiency with clear roles, given the high power distance in Russia. The study concludes that distribution adapted to Agile enhances motivation based on expectancy theory, reducing burnout and increasing productivity, overcoming cultural barriers. The author recommends implementing RACI with training, role audits, and self-organization for sustainable IT development in Russia. The purpose of this article is to analyze the impact of responsibility distribution on the motivation and productivity of project team members in IT companies.
