This study presents a comprehensive political economy analysis of the structural organization and development prospects of the informal sector of Colombia's forest industry. The primary focus is on the institutional symbiosis of criminal actors, corrupt government structures, and marginalized communities. It demonstrates that the system has reached a stage of institutional complementarity, where informal activity functions as a latent social contract and a cross-sectoral financial mechanism. Scenario modeling revealed trajectories of transformation within the sector: from strategic mimicry of legitimate business and "greenwashing" to operational synergy with transnational crime. The practical significance of this study lies in the development of strategies for the systemic deconstruction of criminal networks and the creation of alternative development models for forest regions.
