Any company faces risks in the course of its operations, and managing them is a mandatory process. Travel companies also face a wide range of risks. This article first describes various scientific approaches to classifying risks in travel companies. Further analysis is based on a division of risks into external, related to tourists, and internal, related to the travel company itself. Next, the primary focus is on analyzing the tour operator’s internal risks, identifying the main risk categories – financial, functional, and others. The general conclusion is that travel companies must be particularly careful in their risk management, as all indicators of the company’s market presence depend on its effectiveness.
