Theoretical and methodological foundations of a comprehensive socioeconomic analysis of the sustainable development of innovative regions in the context of digital transformation
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The relevance of the study is due to the growing contradiction between the dominant linear model of nature management and the objective need to transition to a circular economy in the context of global environmental challenges and resource constraints. The study systematizes theoretical and methodological approaches to the analysis of circular business models for recycling secondary material resources, identifying their typology and the specifics of their implementation at the regional level. Particular attention is paid to a comparative analysis of foreign and domestic research traditions in the context of the glocalization of economic relations and the adaptation of resource efficiency principles to Russian conditions. The article substantiates the transition from the linear "extraction - use - disposal" paradigm to the regenerative "cradle-to-cradle" model, where production and consumption waste is transformed into a new resource base. The authors build a broad theoretical foundation, incorporating the concept of a circular economy, the methodology of industrial symbiosis, and approaches to the typologization of business strategies (downcycling, upcycling, reverse logistics). This allows them to consider regional industrial complexes as a multi-layered architecture capable of the rapid reorganization of technological processes and the reduction of anthropogenic pressure on the environment.
