Abstract:
The article examines the effect of the introduction of BIM technologies for the coordination of experimental thermal engineering and climate research in construction. It is shown that traditional approaches to the organization of experimental studies of facade systems are characterized by fragmented data, the complexity of their comparison and high dependence on the human factor. The facade systems of buildings operating under climatic conditions are considered as the object of research, and methods of coordinating experimental data using BIM technologies are considered as the subject. The possibility of using the BIM model as a unified information environment for integrating the results of thermal engineering tests, climatic observations and field surveys with their binding to the structural elements of the facade is substantiated. It has been established that the use of BIM contributes to increasing the reliability of the interpretation of experimental results, improving the comparability of calculated and experimental data, as well as ensuring the reproducibility of research. The organizational and economic effect of BIM-oriented coordination of experiments is shown, which is expressed in reducing the complexity of data processing and increasing the efficiency of research. The potential of scaling the proposed approach and its application in the development of digital counterparts of facade systems is noted.
