The article discusses the issues of the economic efficiency of experimental research at various stages of the life cycle of a construction facility. The role of experimental research at the stages of design, construction and operation of facilities is analyzed. A methodology has been developed to assess the economic efficiency of conducting experimental research, taking into account the stage of the object's life cycle. The results of an experimental analysis of the impact of experimental studies on reducing operating costs and increasing the reliability of construction facilities are presented. It has been established that the rational distribution of experimental research by the stages of the object's life cycle reduces the total cost of building construction and operation.
