Colombia's Drug Cartels in the Age of Technological Singularity: Decentralized autonomous organizations as a new paradigm of criminal sovereignty

Abstract:
This study presents a comprehensive system analysis of the transformation of the Colombian drug complex in the context of technological singularity and geopolitical turbulence. The paper examines the evolutionary trajectories of criminal structures from traditional cartels to decentralized network entities with elements of digital sovereignty. The central attention is paid to the paradox of inverse efficiency, in which the tightening of external control accelerates the organizational and technological development of the drug system. The methodological framework combines scenario forecasting with analysis of emerging technologies, including blockchain, cryptocurrencies, and decentralized autonomous organizations. The study reveals characteristic patterns of the techno-institutional gap, when traditional methods of control lose their effectiveness against digital criminal ecosystems. The final part contains strategic recommendations for the transition from repressive measures to a policy of proactive adaptation. Of particular importance are the risks of a complete demarcation between the legal and criminal economies, where drug capital becomes a catalyst for the formation of alternative financial systems.
