Vector of integration of methodological approaches to the concept of economic philosophy development
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The article considers the philosophy of economics as an inter-disciplinary field that explores the theoretical and methodological foundations of economic science. The focus of this area is questions about the nature of economic models, criteria for the scientific nature of economic theories, as well as methods for substantiating and verifying economic knowledge. The relevance of the philosophy of economics lies in the need for a critical understanding of how to formulate economic concepts, broaden the scope of traditional economic analysis and improve the quality of economic forecasting and policy. Of particular importance is the analysis of methodological approaches proposed by leading philosophers of science of the 20th century, which makes it possible to build a clearer picture of the processes of forming economic knowledge. As part of the work, the concept of Karl Popper falsification will be considered, which argues that scientific theories should be open to criticism and refutation by empirical data. Particular attention is paid to the problems of verifiability of economic hypotheses, identifying difficulties associated with empirical testing in the social sciences. The role of critical evaluation and constant revision of theories is considered, which contributes to the promotion of economic science. Historical analysis is discussed on the example of the works of domestic philosophers of economics, which makes it possible to understand the evolution of views on the methodology of economic science and the relationship of economic knowledge with other forms of scientific knowledge. Thus, this work is aimed at systematization and critical analysis of methodological concepts, identification of problems and prospects in the philosophy of economics. This will make it possible to form a holistic picture of the development of the discipline and outline the key areas of further research in this area.
