The article examines the problem of implementing interdisciplinary connections in the system of secondary vocational education (SPE) as a key factor in the training of competitive specialists. The relevance of the research is due to the need to integrate academic disciplines in order to form students' holistic professional thinking and meet the requirements of the Federal State Educational Standard for Vocational Education and the labor market. Special attention is paid to mathematics as a fundamental discipline that ensures the development of analytical skills and the application of knowledge in professional activities. The paper provides specific examples of the integration of mathematical knowledge into information technology, economics, and medical specialties, demonstrating the transition from abstract knowledge to applied competencies. Based on the analysis of scientific sources and the results of a survey of teachers, a number of systemic problems have been identified that hinder the introduction of professional orientation into the general education cycle. High-quality implementation of the interdisciplinary approach contributes to the development of flexible and rigid skills of graduates, increasing their relevance and adaptability in real working conditions.
