Modeling and evaluation of cash flows during the implementation of a livestock complex modernization project
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
A study of the development of the country's agricultural sector revealed that the successful modernization of livestock enterprises directly depends on the quality of cash flow forecasting and modeling. This article systematizes the most significant industry challenges and constraints, including aging equipment, declining labor productivity, and a shortage of working capital among producers. Drawing on successful domestic experience in implementing modern technologies, the authors propose a project solution for expanding the capacity of the fattening facility at SKIK Novomalyklinsky LLC. Calculating the project's parameters showed that eliminating the technological deficit at the enterprise allows for an increase in livestock production while reducing unit costs and associated expenses. A commercial viability analysis of the project allowed for the development of a flexible cash flow model, taking into account the use of government subsidies at a rate of 5%. Based on the results obtained, the high investment attractiveness of the developed project for the construction of a new fattening facility was proven: the estimated accumulated profit over three years will amount to 72.77 million rubles, the internal rate of return (IRR) will reach 69%, and a full return on investment is projected within 1 year and 1 month after the facility's launch.
