This article examines the concept of "creative industries", covering both the field of creativity and innovative directions. Special attention is paid to the trends in the development of this sphere in the Khanty-Mansiysk Autonomous Okrug – Yugra. Legislative acts influencing the development of the industry both at the federal level and in the region are analyzed. Clarifications to the orders and laws are provided, as well as statistical data on the interest and employment of labor resources in the field of creative industries. These indicators serve as the basis for assessing the current state of the industry. The article provides a concrete example from practice, identifies problematic aspects and substantiates the relevance of their solution. It is precisely such practical cases based on real experience that contribute to the active development of creative industries and the formation of recommendations for improving the situation in the region.
