The article discusses the basic concepts and functions of management accounting, its role and place in the accounting system. Organizing an effective management accounting system is a complex task, including the development of accounting methods, data processing and presentation of information necessary for making management decisions. The article highlights the increasing financial problems caused by the current economic situation and the competition of saturated goods. All this creates difficulties for organizations seeking to increase their level of competitiveness and continue to operate successfully. In order to remain competitive in the market and survive in the face of changing consumer demand, rising prices, changes in legislation and other factors, enterprises must constantly improve their activities, as well as adapt to new conditions through management accounting.
