The article examines the relevance of the implementation of the national project "Personnel", aimed at eliminating the shortage of personnel in Russia. The problems of personnel shortage in Russia are analyzed, with an emphasis on a comprehensive study of personnel shortage in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania. The main purpose of the article is to study the causes of the shortage of workers and to find ways to solve it. The results of research and surveys on the shortage of workers in the Republic of North Ossetia-Alania, as well as possible solutions to this issue, are presented. The presented measures are designed to reduce the shortage of workers and increase the economic level of the republic.
