The subject of the article is the impact of tokenization on the investment potential of non-traditional assets, in particular, luxury goods. A comparative analysis was conducted between traditional investment in this asset class and using tokenization, and the theoretical advantages of this approach from the point of view of potential investors were studied. The risks common to both the traditional approach and tokenization, and specific to the latter approach, were also described. Next, the existing tokenization platforms, the functionality they provide, and the amount of coverage for this asset class were analyzed. The results of the study highlighted the existing challenges faced by this approach today and recommendations for overcoming existing problems. In addition, the potential implications for the luxury goods market and the investment industry were formulated.
