The article addresses a relevant managerial problem — improving operational efficiency of the process for provisioning IT projects with external digital identifiers of limited duration (virtual phone numbers, temporary user accounts, one-time email addresses). The topic is relevant because in digital economy sectors that rely on large-scale testing and integration with external services, fragmented manual accounting of such resources becomes a bottleneck and a source of significant operational losses. The purpose of the study is to develop and empirically verify a methodology of business process reengineering adapted to the category of rented short-lived digital assets. The methodological framework includes process modelling in BPMN 2.0 notation, formalisation of a system of operational metrics, scenario comparison of AS-IS and TO-BE models, and a normalised economic evaluation with computation of the cost index, return on investment coefficient and payback period. The scientific novelty consists in adapting the classic BPR approach to the category of «rented digital assets», introducing a formalised model of resource states that accounts for asynchronous verification, and developing a responsibility matrix synchronised with the automated loop. The results demonstrate a 93 % reduction in operation cycle time, a 70 % decrease in identifier defect rate and full traceability of accounting. The proposed methodology is applicable for finance and management units and category managers responsible for scalable procurement of external digital services.
