ABSTRACT
The article explores the transformational role of big data in improving the effectiveness of corporate governance in the digital economy. Based on an analysis of international research – MIT (comparing data-oriented and traditional companies), a Chinese empirical study of 1,942 large firms, as well as work on integrating BDA with a balanced scorecard and technological re–equipment of industry - the mechanisms of the impact of big data analytics on productivity, profitability and quality of decision-making are considered. Special attention is paid to the phenomenon of the "revolution in management" (Erik Brynjolfsson, MIT), the shift from intuitive solutions to evidence-based management, as well as the role of BDA in overcoming limited rationality. Based on empirical data, three tables are presented that characterize the impact of BDA on firm performance, implementation priorities, and the comparative effectiveness of data-oriented organizations. It is concluded that technological investments in BDA provide measurable returns only if strategically aligned with internal competencies and the external environment.
