Abstract (English):
The current international situation is characterized by the formation of a new sphere of confrontation between states. There is a struggle for the minds and moods of the citizens of the opposing states. This confrontation has received various names: informational, cognitive, psychohistorical, mental and other wars. The authors of this article adhere to the concept of mental warfare and draw attention to the need to form a state policy in the field of protection against mental threats. According to the authors, the state policy in this direction should include two components: the creation of monitoring of the state of mental security indicators and the implementation of a targeted policy in the field of education and science. The consistent implementation of these proposals can prevent the ethnic genocide of the population of the Russian Federation. Difficulties are caused by a number of factors. Among them, the authors draw attention to the conservatism of the education system.
