This study examines the economic foundations and effects of integrating educational robotics into national and regional educational systems as a tool for career guidance and human capital formation in the engineering field. Against the background of the continuing gap in qualifications and demographic challenges, the article argues that educational robotics represents a strategic investment that potentially increases the future supply of engineers and enhances the innovation potential of the region. The analysis synthesizes data from academic literature, regional development reports and case studies from the Russian context, in particular, the Republic of Tatarstan. The results suggest that targeted investments in educational robotics programs can bring significant long-term economic returns by increasing labor productivity, stimulating innovation, and reducing structural youth unemployment.
