TECHNICAL AND ECONOMIC JUSTIFICATION FOR THE IMPLEMENTATION OF A DIGITAL TWIN AND PREDICTIVE DIAGNOSTICS ALGORITHMS FOR AN AUTOMATED AIRCRAFT CONTROL SYSTEM

Abstract:
The problem of quantifying the economic effect of the introduction of a digital twin and predictive diagnostic algorithms for the automatic control system of narrow-body aircraft is considered. The urgency is due to the growing share of the airline's maintenance and repair costs and the high cost of unplanned failures leading to flight delays. It is shown that the use of digital twins at the stage of operation of complex aviation equipment provides the basis for the transition from routine maintenance to maintenance on the condition and prolongation of the service life of components. The paper proposes a methodology for calculating the total cost of ownership and net present value for a digital twin implementation project, taking into account the reduction of unplanned replacements, the reduction of delays due to failures, and the reduction of direct maintenance and repair costs.
