The global community's transition to the digital economy has led to an increase in the share of intellectual labor among most professional categories of workers. Effective management of such labor is becoming a strategic factor of competitiveness for Russian companies. However, evaluating the effectiveness of intellectual work is a difficult problem due to the nature of this type of activity, its creative component, low predictability of results and significant dependence on the personal qualities of the employee make traditional assessment tools insufficiently effective. The purpose of this study is to systematize and analyze existing methods for evaluating the effectiveness of intellectual work, identify the advantages and disadvantages of modern tools, and identify the prospects for their improvement in the context of business digitalization. The research is based on the study of domestic and foreign scientific literature, regulatory documents, analytical materials, as well as the practical experience of Russian and foreign companies. As a result of the analysis and generalization of existing approaches, a comprehensive intellectual labor assessment system has been proposed, taking into account various levels of analysis — individual, group and strategic, the principles of building such a system and its target model have been formulated, and recommendations for its implementation have been developed. The most important direction is the integration of digital technologies into the assessment system, which makes it possible to increase the accuracy of measurements and ensure transparency of processes.
