Theoretical and methodological foundations of a comprehensive socioeconomic analysis of the sustainable development of innovative regions in the context of digital transformation
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The relevance of this study is determined by the insufficient scientific development of the theoretical and methodological foundations for taking into account the dynamics of digital transformation when assessing the sustainable development of innovative regions. This study formulates conceptual principles and methods of comprehensive socioeconomic analysis adapted to the conditions of the digital age and substantiates their role and status in ensuring the balanced development of innovative regions based on an interdisciplinary approach. Particular attention is paid to the methodology of comprehensive socioeconomic analysis of the sustainable development of innovative regions, including new metrics of the digital age. The study substantiates the transition from fragmented, disciplinary-isolated approaches to the interdisciplinary integration of analysis at the intersection of economics, sociology, regional and management sciences, taking into account the intensive development of digital technologies. The authors develop a broad theoretical foundation, including a systems approach, the theory of complex adaptive systems and the concept of digital ecosystems, which allows us to consider an innovative region as an open and dynamic network of institutional, socioeconomic and technological interactions that flexibly and quickly responds to exogenous challenges.
