In the modern competitive environment, continuous improvement of operational efficiency is not an option but a necessity. This article provides a comprehensive overview of the evolution of methods for evaluating business process efficiency. We trace the path from classical, financially-oriented approaches, such as KPIs and the Balanced Scorecard (BSC), to process-oriented methodologies. Particular attention is paid to the revolutionary capabilities of modern technologies: Process Mining for the objective analysis of digital footprints, RPA for the precise analytics of automated tasks, as well as predictive analytics and artificial intelligence for proactive management. The article demonstrates that maximum efficiency is achieved through the integration of various methods into a unified system, enabling a shift from point-in-time control to continuous, data-driven improvement of business processes.
