Modern challenges of the labor market require the higher education system to be flexible, relevant, and practice-oriented. A close partnership between universities and employers is becoming a key condition for the development of in-demand professional competencies. However, the effectiveness of such cooperation is largely determined not only by the content, but also by the pedagogical aspects of integrating professional standards into the educational process. The article argues that simply updating curricula is not enough; it is necessary to rethink the methods, forms, and technologies of teaching from the perspective of the activity-based and competence-based approaches. Special attention is paid to the role of the teacher as a pedagogical designer who can transform real professional tasks into educational tasks, as well as the importance of systematically integrating partnership practices (internships, cases, and projects) into the learning trajectory. It is emphasized that only with proper pedagogical support can interaction with employers be effective.
