Mental Health of Students: The Role of Universities in Preventing Burnout and Anxiety
Abstract and keywords
Abstract (English):
The mental health of students is becoming an increasingly pressing issue in the context of high academic stress, social instability, and digital overload. Burnout, anxiety, and depression are increasingly prevalent among university students, negatively impacting their academic motivation, cognitive resources, and overall quality of life. In this context, universities are no longer solely educational institutions but have taken on the role of providing social and psychological support. The article examines the causes of the growth of psychoemotional disorders among students, analyzes the university's potential in preventing burnout and anxiety, and proposes practical measures: the development of a psychological support system, the introduction of "health-saving" educational practices, the creation of a supportive campus environment, and the improvement of the psychological and pedagogical competence of teachers. It emphasizes that taking care of mental health is not an optional feature, but a necessity.
