The modern educational reality is characterized by rapid digitalization, transformation of social and cultural norms, increased individualization of education, and increased requirements for teachers' personal and professional qualities. In these conditions, the development of pedagogical competence among students of pedagogical universities goes beyond the acquisition of traditional didactic knowledge and requires the development of flexibility, reflexivity, digital literacy, emotional intelligence, and the ability for continuous professional self-development. The article examines the key challenges of our time, from hybrid forms of education to the demand for inclusivity and psychological and pedagogical support for students, and analyzes the pedagogical conditions that contribute to the effective development of future teachers in these conditions. The article emphasizes the need to update the content, methods, and environment of teacher education in accordance with the dynamics of modern educational practice.
