The article is devoted to the refinement of the methodological framework for reengineering production business processes in the context of increasing technological and market turbulence. It is shown that the interpretation of reengineering as a purposeful reconfiguration of process architecture shifts the focus from the degree of "radicality" of the transformations to the discipline of design: identifying the gap between goals and the actual logic of work, building a target process and organizational model, redefining roles and regulations, and technological implementation. The need to take into account the cumulative impact of structural factors (acceleration of technological cycles, demand volatility, price pressure, regulatory changes, supply chain risks, competency shortages, the sustainable development agenda, and continuity requirements) has been substantiated. Methodological additions to the classical approach have been proposed, including reliance on measurable data, iterative cycles of "project-pilot-adjustment," modular construction of the target model, embedded quality and compliance loops, integration of process and organizational changes, differentiation of intervention depth, and assessment of the sustainability of results, taking into account variability. The associated risks and measures to reduce them are identified, ensuring the manageability of the transition. The results are focused on practical application in the development of production system transformation programs, increasing the likelihood of achieving the desired effects in terms of time, quality, and costs.
