The article discusses the goals, structure and key areas of the implementation of the national project "Personnel" in the context of the development of the labor market of the North Caucasus Federal District. The main federal projects included in the national project, as well as measures of state support for employment, vocational guidance, retraining and advanced training of personnel, are analyzed. Particular attention is paid to the possibilities of adapting the tools of the national project to the socio-economic, demographic and institutional specifics of the regions of the North Caucasus Federal District, characterized by a high level of youth unemployment, a significant share of informal employment and limited diversification of the economy. The mechanisms of interaction between authorities, educational organizations and employers are considered. The conclusion is made about the potential of the national project "Personnel" as a tool for stimulating employment, reducing imbalances in the labor market and forming competitive human capital in the macroregion.
