Artificial Intelligence in the University Educational Process: Opportunities and Ethical Risks
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The introduction of artificial intelligence (AI) into the university educational process opens up broad opportunities for personalization of education, automation of routine tasks, increase of students’ engagement and improvement of the quality of educational services. Modern AI tools allow to develop adaptive learning trajectories, provide instant feedback, analyze academic performance and predict the risks of expulsion. However, along with the advantages, active use of AI is associated with a number of ethical risks, including violation of personal data privacy, increase of digital inequality, decrease of critical thinking in students, as well as issues of authorship, academic integrity and dependence on technology. The most important task of modern higher education is to develop ethical frameworks and methodological approaches that ensure a balance between the innovative potential of AI and the preservation of the humanistic values of education.
