This article develops a methodology for evaluating the economic efficiency of implementing a digital twin system for equipment fleet management in additive manufacturing. The functional structure of the system, the specifics of using digital twins in multifactorial production processes, and methodological approaches to evaluating investments in digitalization are discussed. A comprehensive model for calculating performance indicators, including NPV, IRR, ROI, and TCO, is proposed. A model example is used to quantitatively assess the benefits, costs, and risks of the project. The results of the study confirm the high economic feasibility of implementing digital twins, demonstrating a significant reduction in downtime and operating expenses.
