The study of the conditions for global economic development related to the experience of globalization has shown that, against the backdrop of established links between national economies, one of the main sources of growth today is intensification aimed at increasing the efficiency of production activities, labor productivity, and innovative activity. It has been shown that the globalization processes of the world economy in the 21st century were largely based on the rapid development of science and technology, given that the spread of the market economic system was based on the growing cross-border division of labor, which penetrates to the level of production chains in enterprises in different countries. It is argued that the established advantages of economic globalization and the intensification of the global economy are primarily used by developed countries, while developing countries have not been fully included in this process and have not used their comparative advantages. Nevertheless, even with the introduction of advanced technologies and the inflow of foreign capital, the ongoing process of globalization poses enormous risks for developing countries. New opportunities for growth and rates of change in different countries have been identified, which are linked to infrastructure development in the context of rethinking globalization and the new normal. It has been established that, despite some positive changes, conditions for successful intensive development have not been established in Russia, and it is necessary to strengthen regulatory measures by state authorities to support knowledge-intensive industries, develop research and development activities, and expand the use of cluster initiatives.
