Economic efficiency of digital educational technologies in improving the accessibility of education and reducing the aggregate costs of the education system
Abstract and keywords
Abstract:
The integration of transformer architectures into natural language processing systems has enabled substantial progress in addressing tasks of machine translation, sentiment analysis, and text generation by means of attention mechanisms that account for contextual dependencies across extended data sequences and ensure superiority over traditional recurrent neural networks in accuracy and coherence metrics. Approaches to multimodal learning are examined that combine textual, visual, and audio data within a unified latent space, thereby opening prospects for the development of intelligent systems with enhanced semantic understanding capabilities. Strategies for pre-training on large-scale corpora followed by fine-tuning are analyzed; these strategies minimize the need for labeled data and improve the generalization ability of models under limited-sample conditions. Aspects of computational efficiency are discussed, including methods of weight quantization, knowledge distillation, and sparse attention aimed at reducing energy consumption and accelerating inference without significant loss of quality. The results of empirical comparisons on standard benchmarks are presented, confirming the advantages of modified architectures in cross-lingual transfer and low-resource language processing tasks. The importance of interpretability of the resulting representations is emphasized for ensuring reliability in applied domains such as medical document analysis, automation of legal processes, and the development of adaptive educational platforms. Further research directions are associated with the creation of ethically oriented models that account for linguistic diversity, prevent the generation of biased content, and ensure transparency of decision-making in complex sociotechnical systems.
