Trends in the development of the economy and society as a whole contribute to the emergence of new financial instruments, due to which insurance of financial risks becomes popular in the process of doing business with entrepreneurs who want to neutralize their financial risks for a certain fee, preserving the return on invested capital. The development of financial risk insurance in the domestic economy serves as a priority task and has an important national and economic significance. At present, due to economic instability and sanctions pressure, the Russian market of financial risk insurance is faced with new risks and threats. The article studies the Russian system of financial risk insurance. The development of the modern financial risk insurance market in recent years has been analyzed, problems have been identified and growth prospects have been determined.
