The article is devoted to the analysis of state support for small and medium-sized businesses (SMEs) in Russia in a changing economic environment. The main areas of support, including tax incentives, grants, preferential loans and subsidies, are considered. Particular attention is paid to the changes expected from 2025, including the reform of the simplified taxation system and the reduction of funding for government programs. The possible consequences of such changes for small businesses are discussed, including the risks of increasing the tax burden and reducing the availability of financial resources. Examples of successful initiatives such as tax holidays, grants for young entrepreneurs, subsidies for employers, and measures to support IT companies are presented. It is concluded that it is necessary to develop more effective strategies to support small businesses to ensure their sustainable development.
