Urban passenger transport is a key component of the infrastructure of a modern city. In the context of population growth and urbanization, innovative solutions in this area are of particular importance. Innovations in the urban transport system represent a critical element for ensuring the sustainable and efficient functioning of modern cities. Electrification, digitalization and sustainable mobility methods are shaping the face of the transport of the future, making it safer, more accessible and environmentally friendly. This article examines the concept of innovation, describes its categories and key properties. In addition, the main directions of innovative activities aimed at improving the efficiency, accessibility and environmental friendliness of urban transport are considered. It is concluded that successful integration of these technologies requires research, government support and partnership with private and public organizations.
