Despite the absence of anti-corruption compliance as a fixed legal phenomenon, anti-corruption legislation in the Russian Federation has a very long history, which has shaped the future development of the Russian practice of implementing and regulating anti-corruption compliance. Today in Russia, some large state-owned companies take Russian anti-corruption compliance seriously. However, this is only a small part of what the economy of the Russian Federation is based on. A thorough development of an anti-corruption compliance system is needed, which will help reduce the level of corruption offenses within companies and the level of losses from corruption, as well as warn the Russian economy against decline at a difficult time for the country's economy.
