The article examines the factors influencing the dynamics and income differentiation of the population of the Republic of Dagestan. The analysis of the main socio-economic indicators is carried out: the level of employment and unemployment, income structure, industry wages and others. The key changes over the period 2010-2022 are considered, including the impact of crisis events such as the COVID-19 pandemic. Special attention is paid to differences in income levels in the republic and the average in Russia, the structure of wage distribution, as well as the social and economic components of poverty. Recommendations are proposed to increase the incomes of the population, including employment support, reduction of corruption and development of the real sector of the economy. The implementation of these measures is aimed at improving the standard of living in the region.
