Sales of specialized products for athletes began to recover in the post-retirement period, reaching 2018 figures by 2022. The problem of the study lies in the fact that the market of biologically active additives and sports nutrition is actively developing and is under active supervision by government organizations. Previously, the end user's interest was directed at a foreign manufacturer with excessive dosages of active ingredients, but this is not acceptable under Russian law, so the domestic manufacturer is trying to keep up and is gaining momentum that exceeds the turnover of foreign manufacturers. This topic is relevant and promising for further research, as the Russian dietary supplement market is showing steady growth, maintaining an increase rate of 10-12% per year. According to Rospotrebnadzor, in 2024 the market volume reached 150 billion rubles, which is 15% higher than the results of 2021. It is important to note the increase in the share of domestic products over the past three years from 55% to 70%, which indicates the successful implementation of the import substitution strategy.
